OMG. He just crossed my mind and I find this!!! He was one of the first people I met in Tampa. We lived in the same building for our first year in Florida. He was always soooooo sweet and fun! OMG. I'm in disbelief.

My condolences sent for The LaPlante Family. Although I knew Derek briefly, I will never forget the type of person he was. He was a sweet, kind, and a friendly person. It was a pleasure to have known him even if it was for a short time.
Rest In Peace my friend, you will never be forgotten.

Craig and family, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your son, Derek. The many friends and family comments certainly proved he was a loyal brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend to all as well as a fun loving guy with a love for doing good things in his life to many he came in contact with. There are no words to express the feeling of losing a child. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you and your family process this terrible loss. Try to remember Derek is in a better place and will continue to make you smile with all the memories each of you shared. God Bless you and your family.
