To draw the conclusion that Jesus Christ was a myth because others were found to have been described as having some characterists similar to His, is utter folley. That, my beloved, is not scholarship.

Where can we send donations to help to defray medical expenses she incurred? Is it too late to make a contribution?

I only know DM Murdock by having listened to her online.
What an amazing investigator and researcher she was but what I found most endearing, apart from her courage was her genuineness.
Thank you DM for being the person you were.

It's been a while since I referred to 'Acharya's' work, and today when I did, I was shocked to learn of her death almost two years ago.
She was a great speaker and author devoted to clearing the theological rubble and debris that litter the history of humanity. She made impressive strides, and having listened to many interviews, I always came away impressed and enlightened.
A truly unique and great mind is lost.

I am truly saddened to hear of Ms Murdoch's death. She gave me another perspective on life and religion that I might never have gained without reading her work. My deepest sympathies go out to her son and those who loved her. I shall always remember her with respect and admiration.

It was shocking to learn this. She was an excellent scholar of good observations and a gifted author as well. We will keep his memory with love.

I am saddened to hear of the recent passing of my old college friend Dori Murdock. My deepest condolences to Dori's son and her partner, N.W. Barker. Dori and I met in 1978 at Franklin & Marshall College and became friends who shared many laughs and good times during those short 4 years. She had a great laugh, a beautiful smile and an amazing wit. We would run into each other in Manhattan a few times shortly after graduation. She would also send me postcards periodically from Greece (and, in typical Dori fashion, they usually had really funny illustrations where she found those cards, I'll never know). As happens with friends and acquaintances over time, you get bogged down with life and you lose touch. That is what happened with me and Dori, but I did not stop thinking about her and hoping that she was happy and well. I am sorry that we never reconnected as I am sure we would have laughed and gladly reminisced yet again. Suffice to say, that my memory of her will always be of someone who loved life and found laughter to be such an essential part of it. Rest in peace my old friend.

I missed out on Dori's life post high school. What an amazing life she led and what an amazing light she has been. Travel swiftly and in peace, dear one.

I only met Dori on one or two occasions, and I found her to be an energetic, joyful, beautiful soul. I have grown from following her educational and enlightening publications, and I appreciate the inner light she shared with everyone (and everything!) she encountered. I know family and friends will miss her, but I also know she is not truly gone from us. Thanks for sharing the journey, Dori!

I wish to relay my deepest sympathy to Ms. 'D' Murdock's family, her son Jason and her closest friends. I felt like I knew her, though we never met in the flesh. She was a friend to me, even so from so far away and in a cyber world. I share your sadness and I will miss her cyber presence, but I will never forget her. She was in my heart from the first I saw her image on and read her first book.
I believe it was in 2004, that I first came into contact with her online, and other than a short conversation on the phone (too short...I was at work when she called) and some private online chat. She was open, friendly, informative, humorous and just...loveable. I was overpowered, and pleased beyond measure to have known her in this small distant way. I still am.
Dorothy (you told me the truth Dori :D ..and now I know your age. I wasn't far off guessing!)---you will live on in many people's memories (mine for sure!) and in your precious writings. I only regret that you had to leave and that I never got to meet you at least once in the flesh. Perhaps in another time and place. Who knows?!
With much love and affection, your admirer Rene (aka skullnboner :D ). I should be crying. I did cry, but now I want to remember the best of you in a happy way. "In any event" I will be thinking of you every day. :)
