Earle McKeever Obituary



McKeever, Earle A. 82 of Sun City Center, FL. passed away November 10, 2012. He was born April 1, 1930, in Johnstown, PA. to Earle and Mary Wylie McKeever. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Jane Mollura. He graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School, Johnstown, PA in 1948 and from Duke University in 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict as a naval officer. On May 15, 1954, he married Marietta Pelletier in Skowhegan, ME. He moved to Hartford, CT. in 1956, Glastonbury, CT in 1968 and then to Sun City Center in 1994. He was an assembly Production Control Manager at Underwood Typewriter, starting there in 1956. In 1960 he joined Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company and retired on December 31, 1988. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1951 and active in the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of Tallwood Golf Club in Hebron, CT for over 20 years. He was a member of the Caloosa Golf and Country Club in Sun City Center since 1994 and volunteered as a member of the Sun City Center Security Patrol. In addition to his many activities, he was an IRS Enrolled Agent and managed IRS VITA tax sites for 7 years in the 1980s. He managed and taught for H&R Block for 5 years in Connecticut and a year in Ruskin, FL. Survivors included his wife, Marietta, two nieces, Lisa Rich and Michelle Nadeau-Schaff, five nephews, M. Steven Nadeau, Leo Nadeau, Daniel P. Mollura, David L. Mollura and Andrew E. Mollura and a sister-in-law Jackie Nadeau. A memorial service was held in Sun City Center, FL in 2012. Burial will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill, CT immediately following a 10am memorial mass for his wife, Marietta, at St Paul Catholic Church, Glastonbury CT.
