Edith Stinson NAPPER

NAPPER, Edith Stinson Edith Stinson Napper, born February 2, 1920 departed her life on April 4, 2011. The daughter of William Russian Stinson, Sr. and Emmaline Humphrey Stinson. Edith grew up in Alabama and graduated from Dothan High School. Several years later she moved to Hartford, Connecticut, earning her Bachelor and Master Degree. Edith held several different positions with the State of Connecticut. She also worked at Aetna Life Insurance and the Urban League of Hartford. Edith took her love for education and moved to Orlando, Florida where she worked as a Recruiter/ counselor for the University of Central Florida retiring in 1992. Even in retired mode she worked as a substitute teacher at a vocational school. She leaves to mourn a daughter, Willadine Johnson of Bloomfield, Connecticut. Grandchildren: Deborah Bennett of Manchester; Cheryl Wright of East Hartford, CT; Mary Alexander of Hartford, CT, Raymond Johnson and Anthony Johnson of New Britain, CT; Terrance Evans of Manchester, CT; Williams Evans, Jr; Quentin Napper, Jr.; Tyrone Napper and Torrina Evans of Hartford, CT. Many great grandchildren and great-great grand children. Sisters: Fannie Stinson Arnum of Hartford, CT; Alma S. Duval of Florida and Gwendolyn S. Crowe of New York. Very devoted cousins: Francis Bradwell of Florida and Lilly Ward of Alabama. A host of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: William and Emmaline Stinson, Husband: William D. Napper. Sisters: Catherine S. Brinson, Robbie Daniels, Bernice Larkins, Pauline Carter. Brothers: William R. Stinson, Vincent Stinson, James O. Stinson and Jimmie H. Stinson. Children: Patricia Hall, Linda Evans and Quentin Napper. Grandchildren: Sherrie Evans, Clifford Tolliver, Rodney Hall Jr, and Keith Johnson. Funeral Services will be held Monday, (April 11, 2011) at 11 a.m. with calling hour at 10 a.m. at The FUQUA Funeral Service Chapel, 94 Granby St., Bloomfield.
