Edward A. Buzzi

1940 - 2018

Edward Anthony Buzzi Jr. of Haddam died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Born in Torrington on October 23, 1940, to the late Edward A. Buzzi Sr. and Marion (Way) Buzzi.He leaves behind his loving children Tanja Moriarty (husband Sean), Brenda Buzzi, Andrew Buzzi, all of Higganum and Edward Buzzi III, (wife Susan Clasby) of McLean, VA. He was Sr. Elf to his adored grandchildren Erin Moriarty, Christopher Moriarty, Rebecca Mainetti, Rachel Greenholt, Landrigan Buzzi, Veronica Buzzi. He was brother to Thomas Buzzi, Patricia Jacome and Roberta Lee all of Texas and Barbara Springer in Florida. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Ed was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and had tried out for the team when he was nineteen years old. He loved sports especially the girls UCONN basketball team. With a genius IQ he was a gifted piano player and could play a song after listening to it once. He loved playing for his High Meadows friends and community. Ed served proudly in the Army National Guard. He touched many people's lives with his charm and quick wit. He was a well-spoken gentleman who loved his Sudoku puzzles and York Peppermint Patties with equal fervor.
