KOSS, Edward Peter
Mr. Edward Peter Koss, 90 years old, of Sandy Springs, GA passed away December 20, 2011 after a long illness. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born October 19, 1921 in Hartford, to Alexander and Marcella Kosakowski. He and his wife Winifred were married in 1943 and recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. He served in the United States Navy for 3 years during World War II. After his service, he returned to the Hartford, CT area and was employed in the medical supply business his entire career, and retired at age 70 from Hudson Medical Supply of Rocky Hill. Edward and Winifred retired to the Atlanta area in 1991. He was a parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church and a 3rd degree knight of All Saints Council 11402. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Winifred, daughter Geraldine Balch; granddaughters Kara Gerstel and her husband Tom, and Lauren Strickland and her husband Robert.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 2443 Mt. Vernon Rd in Dunwoody. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice
