Jean Koss, 83, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at Edenbrook Sheboygan.
Born May 31, 1942 in Sheboygan, Jean was a daughter of the late Edmund and Ruth Burger Schelwat. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Central High School. On April 29, 1977, she was united in marriage to Richard L. Koss in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1980.
She is survived by her children, Jon (Kelly) Lang, Sheboygan, Jonna (Terry) Stange, Howards Grove, and Julie (Fritz) Schierl, Plover; her grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew) Heling, Justin (Samantha) Schmidt and Tristan Koss; her great grandchildren, Cash, Crew and Hayden Heling, and Revie, Rylie and Ryker Schmidt; her brothers, Wayne (Joann) Schelwat and Mark Schelwat; her sister, Carol (Paul) Warg; her brother-in-law, Ed Wieland; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Koss, and her sister Kathy Wieland.
Interment took place in Greendale Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and her niece, Tammy McClellan, for all of their loving care and support.
