Peter J. Warner

Peter J. Warner, 79, of Howards Grove, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2026 at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee.

Peter was born on November 24, 1946, in Sheboygan. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1964. On January 25, 1969, he married the love of his life, Marian Wickesberg, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Plymouth. Peter was a devoted and faithful member of the church, where he led Bible study for many years.

Peter worked at Kohler Co. until his retirement. Beyond his career, he dedicated more than 25 years as Commissioner of the Lakeshore Baseball League, where he organized numerous tournaments and supported generations of young athletes.

He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing, watching Wisconsin sports teams, and singing karaoke. “Elvira” and “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” were among his favorite songs to sing. Peter was known for his generosity and patience. He deeply loved his family and would do anything for them.

Peter is survived by his children, Jill (Jeremy) Wiegand, Tricia (Donald Krier) Warner, and Chris Warner; his grandchildren, Avery Wiegand and Matthew and Lucas Krier; as well as other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marian Warner; his parents, William and Dorothy Warner; his in-laws, Herbert and Hazel Wickesberg; and other extended family members.

A Memorial Service for Peter will be held at 5:00PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., Sheboygan, WI 53083, with Rev. Sean Cornell officiating. Family will greet visitors on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 3:00PM until the time of the service. Peter will be laid to rest at the Immanuel UCC parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s name to the Howards Grove Athletic Association or Immanuel United Church of Christ.
