Roger Arnold Mueller, age 95, of Sheboygan passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026.
He was born in Kiel on February 1, 1930, to the late Arnold and Lydia (Schreiber) Mueller, and at four years old, his family moved to the family farm in the Town of Meeme. He attended Pigeon River School in Manitowoc and graduated from Kiel High School in 1943. In 1948, Roger started his beloved polka band, “Roger Mueller & His Trumpet” and played for many weddings and anniversaries for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954. In 1955, Roger was united in marriage to Rosemary Hoell.
Roger started working as a milkman at Lake to Lake Dairy in 1955, until the company closed, then went on to work at Sheboygan Sausage and Eclipse Manufacturing until his retirement in 1993.
Roger is survived by his children, Dale Mueller of Sheboygan Falls, Vicki (James) Leonhardt of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Cory (Robin) Leonhardt, Jenny (Dolf) DeCeuster and Leslie Mueller; great-grandchildren, Grace, Blake, Vincent, Oliver and Daniel; other family and friends.
Along with his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his former wife, Rosemary and his two brothers, Clyde (Betty) Mueller and Bruce (Janet) Mueller.
Cremation has taken place and an inurnment will take place at the Kiel Cemetery in spring.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roger’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Health Services for the care shown to Roger over the last few years.
