Edward Kukuc Obituary

KUKUC, Edward, Jr. Edward Kukuc, Jr., 57, of New Britain, died Wednesday (May 2, 2007) at his home. Born in New Britain, son of Dorothy (LaPierre) Kukuc of Prince George, VA and the late Edward Kukuc, Sr.; he was a lifelong resident. Ed was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Mattabassett District for many years and was also employed at Town and Country Transportation. He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Kukuc of Avon; his former wife and lifelong friend, Deborah Carlson-Connerty of Avon; his sister, Patti Parent of Prince George; his aunts and uncle, Stephanie Kozickowski, Mary and Dick Lange, all of New Britain; his brother, John Kukuc of Soddy Daisy, TN; several nieces, nephews and many friends including Bruce Carlson. Ed was predeceased by his niece Victoria Parent; his brother Michael Kukuc; and his friend Richard Carlson. His funeral services will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Military honors will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Burritt Hill. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, 1023 Fifteenth St., NW, Second Floor, Washington, DC 20005. My Sympathy for the family. I have known Ed for well over three years, I first met Ed at the Vet Center in Wethersfield, I was one of the veterans who attended the PTSD Tuesday night support group. He will be truly missed by many who knew him. I know that I will truly miss ED.
