THE NEWS OF ED'S PASSING IS SADLY ACCEPTED. KNOWING ED, FOR FORTY YEARS AND WORKING WITH HIM ON THE HARTFORD POLICE DEPT. WAS A REWARDING EXPERIENCE. ED, WAS A VERY THOUGHTFUL PERSON, WHO ALWAYS SHOWED A CONCERN FOR OTHERS. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP THE ROOKIE AND HIS VETERAN COMRADES. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM. I WAS ABLE TO SIT AND TALK WITH HIM AT LAST YEARS VETERANS MEETING AND I WAS VERY HAPPY TO SEE HIM AGAIN AND TALK ABOUT OLD TIMES. ED, WAS NEVER ONE TO BE DISRESPECTFUL OR BE HARSH WITH ANYONE. HE WAS A TRUE FRIEND AND A VERY RESPECTED POLICEMAN. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO TO HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY
