LEPAK. Edwin "Eddie" P. Lepak, 74, of Suffield beloved husband of Ellen (Merusi) Lepak passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, November 21, 2015. Born June 10, 1941 in Hartford son of the late Edwin and Rita (Casavant) Lepak, he lived in Enfield and Somers before moving to Suffield. Eddie served with the US Army for four years and after serving his country he owned and operated Main Music in Springfield, MA for 14 years before working at Gale Toyota in Enfield. For the past 23 years he owned and operated Four Town Auto Sales in Somers. Eddie had such a love for a fulfilling life. He was a world traveler and saw many countries throughout his journey on this earth. The stories of his travels were often told around the kitchen table to his children and grandchildren. He taught them to see the world, ask questions and that sometimes it's totally acceptable to be a rebel. Eddies love for the outdoors says a lot about who he was as a person. He felt most comfortable barefoot in the grass or floating in the water. He cherished all animals and showed his family that no creature is too small for love. Eddie literally opened his doors to any animal, seeing a goat or horse inside his house was absolutely normal. However, Eddies love for his family prevailed it all. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren more than anything. Eddie had an incredibly infectious laugh. To know him was to love him. His embrace was so warm it had the ability to put anyone at ease. His family will miss him deeply, but take comfort in knowing how many lives he touched. Eddie was an amazingly philosophical and spiritual human being. He meditated on a regular basis and read many Buddhist books. He was constantly seeking new enlightenment. Eddie has finally found his final awakening. Besides his wife Ellen, he is survived by his four children, Michael Lepak and his wife Michelle of Mount Clair, NJ, Paul Lepak of Enfield, David Lepak and his wife Kelly of Westfield, MA, Kristin Lepak of Suffield; a step daughter, Michele Falzone of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Joan Furnari and her husband Charles of Enfield, Gail O'Brien and her husband David of Colchester; seven grandchildren, Ashley Lepak and her fiancé Christopher Robie, Joshua Lepak-Reed and his girl friend Kaitlin Thibodeau, Chelsea Lepak, Max Lepak, Zachary Lepak, Benjamin Lepak, Emma Lepak; and many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 9:30-11:00 AM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N.
