Elaner Fochi

FOCHI, Elaner (Canapari) Elaner (Canapari) Fochi, 98, of South Glastonbury, beloved wife of 62 years to the late Tullio "Bill" Fochi, died Friday (December 26, 2008) at Hartford Hospital. Born April 17, 1910 in South Glastonbury, daughter of the late Antonio and Angela (Cassola) Canapari, she was a life long resident. Elaner was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, South Glastonbury. She is survived by three sons; Wlliam Fochi and his wife Patty, Robert Fochi, Richard Fochi and his wife Donna all of Glastonbury, three sisters; Vivian Picchioni of Newington, Pina Shenston and Frances Peragallo both of Glastonbury, five grandchildren and their spouses; William, Jr. and Kim Fochi, Lori and Patrick Leonard, Kerry and Bill Sanders, Sharon and Mike Sowka, Zachary Fochi, and eight great grandchildren. Special thanks to Mariam Nuur her caregiver for the past two years and Dr. John Price and his staff. She was predeceased by three brothers; Mario, Charles and John Canapari. Funeral service will be Friday, January 2 at 9:15 a.m. from the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Old Church Cemetery, Glastonbury.
