Ellen Anne Gustafson

1965 - 2018

Ellen A. Gustafson passed away peacefully on Saturday October 20, 2018 surrounded by family members. Born February 10, 1965, Ellen grew up in southeastern Massachusetts, graduated Whitman-Hanson High School in 1983, married Curt Gustafson in 1990 and moved to North Windham in 1991 where she made her home and raised her family. Ellen pursued several interests throughout her professional career, working in municipal offices, advertising, banking, education, and environmental consulting. She was a fitness instructor and an accomplished cake baker, creating memorable treats for friends and family on all occasions. She enjoyed the outdoors, particularly the beach and mountains, and was an avid lover of dance, music and shopping excursions to the Christmas Tree Shops. Ellen especially loved her work in the Windham School system where she brought joy and smiles to "her kids". Always active in the community, she served in multiple leadership and administrative roles with the PTA and FFA. She is survived by her husband Curt and their two children, Nicholas and Elise, and her beloved Rosie. She is also survived by her brother, Arnold Johnson and his wife Debra; sister, Tina and brother-in-law Jay Donovan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Beverly Johnson, and her Aunt Kay. Ellen's family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Ellen's community of friends for all their love and support.
