Shalom Emily's family,
Librarians are treasures that we are lucky to have as they provide support as well as much needed instruction to our students how to navigate the world of research, literature, and publications - Emily was such a treasure. Emily, as you know, was a great storyteller. In my early days at Central I invited her to my classes to tell stories and teach how to tell stories. She was also a great asset in the library´s curriculum collection room. Emily suffered for a long-term disease so she had to walk with a cane, but it didn´t stop her from doing a great job as a librarian. We at CCSU will all miss her and her wonderful smile.

Emily brought the sun to work with her every day at Burritt Library, always making the day brighter. She was an excellent librarian, but more importantly, the most wonderful person to know and to work with.
You have my deepest sympathy.

Emily and I worked together for many years at the Elihu Burritt Library at CCSU. She was a great teacher, a great research librarian, contributed so much to the library as well as the students and faculty who came there.

I was blessed to have my friend and Friend Emily at CCSU and now her book and memories of such a sweet, strong and intelligent being. It was always delightful to meet her at the town swimming pool and now to read of her earlier athleticism.

Emily was always a bright light at Central Connecticut State, and always so helpful when we on the faculty needed help in the library (very often!). She will be missed but it was such a blessing to know her.

Pat and I have known Emily and Bill for almost fifty years, first as a co-worker at the Walker Home and School and as a dear friend. I had the privilege of serving as Emily's supervisor in our residential treatment program and still consider her one of the very best child care workers I have ever met. Those who know Emily will remember her kind heart and positive spirit.
