Eric Vanderpool Obituary
Eric David Crimé Vanderpool, 24, of West Hartford, CT, died at UCONN Medical Center on April 2, 2017. Eric was born May 17, 1992 in Brooklyn, New York. He attended and graduated from Conard High School in 2010, and is a 2016 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, School of Business. Always adventurous, Eric had a passion for skateboarding and snowboarding. His greatest pastime was to explore new skate parks with his friends. Eric had a warm heart and infectious smile that would make everyone around him feel loved. He was quiet, reserved, and had an angelic personality that touched so many people in his short life. Eric is survived by his parents, Judy Vanderpool and Luis Crimé, his brothers Kevin, Brian, and Jeffrey, his half brother Luis and half sister Brigitte. Eric has many aunts, uncles and cousins from New York, New Jersey, Florida and California. There are no words to describe the pain and loneliness felt by this terrible loss of a life that was full of promise taken away from all who loved him. The family would like to thank the West Hartford first responders and the multiple staff members in the emergency department and ICU at UCONN Medical Center for their enormous effort to save his precious life. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 am. at the Church of St. Helena 30 Echo Lane West Hartford. Everyone attending is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 7 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main St., West Hartford. Missing him every day, especially today.
But today I'm remembering when we went snowboarding and I fell more times than I can count. Even though he could've just met me at the bottom, he went my pace, stopped, and helped me up every single time. Laughing at me of course, but so was I. Such a great day.

Eric was a stellar man who would love to be outdoors with friends or skate. I clearly remember looking out my dorms and seeing him skate around or say he was coming back from the local skatepark. Just saw you not even a few months ago but damn brother, Rest In Peace homie you will be dearly missed.

Eric has always been a kind, gentle and warm hearted person, he's done so much to help me get to where I had to in life, he actually helped me acquire a drivers license and help me practice for months, when it was time for me to take the test, he came to pick me up early to get some more practice in before my test. I passed and with the tips he gave me, I will always remember the good times.. he will always be a close friend to me and hold a special place in my heart. My sincerest condolences go out to all of the Family & Friends for this tragic loss of life. I hope he may watch over us while resting amongst the stars. Your my brother from another mother, and lord knows it's been hard for me to not think about you bro.. you will be missed and never forgotten.. Thank you for everything, I Love you Bro!!

As one of Jeffrey's former teachers at Smith School, my heart broke to read of the passing of Eric. I can not even begin to imagine the pain that you are all enduring. Please know that many cared about him and the he and the rest of your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My heartfelt sympathy to Judy and the boys, Kevin, Brian, and Jeffrey. I remember Eric so well from Smith School. He was a sweet, smart, quiet, but stubborn little guy who knew his own mind. First I like start by saying I'm truly going to miss a Eric vanderpool I met him early 2013 and ever since then we became very close friend he's always had my back he was there for me and treated me like family know matter what I can't even begin to say how much am going to miss my friend we spoke everyday if not every other day it's going to be hard to move on without my best friend never ending support I miss him so much and will never for get Eric vanderpool for ever miss my brother from another mother.

I am at a loss for words and pray that God will provide all of you the strength and courage you need in order to handle this difficult moment together.

Judy and Luis when I knew about Eric passing, I can't describe my heart feeling, myself and children were shock, about the sad news, a young and handsome boy
