Eugene was such a kind and wonderful man. LaSalle music was a hub of warmth and welcome for teen-agers like my sisters and I. Most memorable was handing Eugene the first Beatle's album for my sister Wendy's birthday to be rung up. I worked down the street at the Acorn Shop was was lucky to be a regular. With warmest regards and thoughts for your family. Terry Waxman Weyl Portland, Maine

One of the good guys. Gene was one of the good guys. Walking down La Salle Road I can still see La Salle Music - it will be forever in my memory as will Gene.
