Eugene Tenenbaum of Bloomfield, CT and Boynton Beach FL, died on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his Bloomfield home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 yrs., Rosalin (Sklar) Tenenbaum. Eugene was born in Hartford, CT, on November 9, 1934, the son of the late Harry and Minnie Tenenbaum, and graduated Weaver High School in 1952. He proudly served 8 years in the Army National Guard and was the President of Atlantic Sales in Hartford, CT from 1974-1988. Upon retiring he served as a FINRA Arbitrator for 20 years. Eugene was a member and treasurer of Agudas Achim Synagogue in West Hartford. He spent his retirement with family and friends and was an avid gardener and chess player. Besides his beloved wife, Eugene is survived by his sister, Lucille Portner, his son Howard and fiancee Rabbi Leah Cohen, daughter Deborah and husband Scott Rowland, and his cherished grandchildren who he adored and who adored him, Madeline Tenenbaum, Andrew, Michael and Avery Rowland. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, May 4, 2017 graveside at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rabbi Leah Cohen at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, Wolcott Rd, East Granby adjacent to the Simsbury Airport. Following the interment, the family will observe Shiva at Gene and Roz's Bloomfield home until 6:00 p.m., and also on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.- 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
