Frank Paul Berti

Frank P. Berti, 60, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Hospital for Special Care, where he had been a patient for more than 11 years, after a tragic accident. Born in New Britain, son of the late Frank and Frances (Reale) Berti, he was a lifelong resident of Berlin. He graduated from Berlin High School and had been a dedicated employee of Federal Express for 25 years. He loved poetry, music, animals, people and especially the ocean. He leaves behind two brothers, Dennis of Avon and Brent of Cromwell. He had a particularly close relationship with two nephews, Joel and Justin, both of Los Angeles, CA and a niece, Chiara Berti Clark of Delray Beach, FL. The Berti family would like to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and entire staff of the Hospital for Special Care. He was treated with care, respect and most importantly, love. They became Frank's family over the last 11 years and for that, we are extremely grateful. Frank proved that, although a man can lose the use of his arms and legs, he could still be an inspiration to all of those who came in contact with him through his beautiful mind and strong, gentle heart. Rest easy Peaceful Warrior. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Britain at a later date.
