MICHELL, Frank I.
Frank I. Michell, beloved husband of Cecilia (Pasternak) Michell for 65 years died on November 21, 2011 in Burke, VA. He was born in 1922 in Shohola, Pennsylvania, the son of William Michell and Mary (Burns) Michell. Frank relocated to Connecticut in 1946. He was a veteran of World War II having served as a technical sergeant in a radio security company with the 10th Army Air Force in the CBI theater. He was employed for 40 years by the Aetna Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1986 as Director of the Individual Life and Health Claim Department. He is survived by his wife, daughter Pamela L. Michell of Falls Church, VA, granddaughter and husband, Gillian and James Penn and their children Cadence and Allegra of Fairfax, VA as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by six brothers, William, Clarence, Norman, John, James and George and two sisters, Florence Palmer and Helen McKittrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, (November 30, 2011) at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant St., West Hartford. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington will follow a reception. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to New Hope Housing, 8407-E Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22309.
