Galen Smith

Galen Smith, 89, of Avon, loving husband to the late Therese (Berger) passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at John Dempsey Hospital. Born in Sherman, ME, he was the son of the late Arrol and Annie (Stubbs) Smith. He grew up in Maine and graduated from Sherman Mills High School. Galen served his country honorably in the United States Air Force before joining the carpenters union where he practiced the trade meticulously until his retirement. He leaves his son Brett Smith and his wife Lori of South Dakota; his granddaughter Tiffany Colucci and her husband Christopher and his great grandchildren Anthony and Bella Colucci; his sister Helen King and her husband Leo of Sherman, ME; his special nephews Alex King and his wife Darla, Stanley King and his wife Bonnie, Brent King and his wife Debbie and their families; his stepsons Wayne Ayotte and his wife Ann Mare of Villages, FL, and Ronald Ayotte of Kensington and his step grandchildren Sarah, Christopher, Kevin and Michelle.
