George Hall Obituary
George L. Hall, Jr., 62, of Simsbury, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at his home. He was born July 24, 1952 in Hartford, son of the late George L. and Patricia (Wittrup) Hall and had lived in Simsbury, Suffield and New Hampshire. George was a star catcher at Watkinson School in Hartford. He was employed by Paine's Refuse (when they rode on the running boards in this weather), was an Auto Parts Salesman for Wagner Ford, Brainard Ford and Interstate Ford for many years, after which he was a self-employed cross-country tractor-trailer driver. George had also belonged to area sportsmen's clubs. He is survived by his sons, Gilly and George of Arizona; his former wife and friend Delia; his brother, Brian of Tariffville; his sisters, Nancy Lindstrom of West Simsbury and Elizabeth Hall of Tariffville; his niece Brooke and nephew Beau; his Godmother Jean Kilfoil; his aunts and cousins and many caring friends in the Simsbury/Suffield area. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Sunday, February 22nd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 23rd, 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church, 7 Maple Street in Tariffville. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah, 84741. When I think of George,I smile, with his quick wit, he was one of the funniest people I know-Our Suffield days together will always be close to my heart & his humor will live on forever in our lives-RIP friend-Buddy & Karen Depray

My husband and I ran into George at Stop and Shop a week before he died. As usually he yelled Zsa Zsa ( my nickname at Hall's farm ) talked for a bit and said see ya soon. Spent many times with him and his Dad at the farm - still shocked - but we will miss him and he will always be in our hearts.
