Thank you to everyone who came to my grandpa’s service.
I realized how much he helped grieving families during his life time. I was touched by everyone who told me how my grandpa helped their family during a very difficult and vulnerable time in their life losing a loved one. The funeral industry is a demanding business and you never know when you will get a death call.
I’ll never forget all the memories I’ve had with him, even if it was something as small as sitting on the couch and watching tv.
Thank you for all the love, we all appreciate everything. We love you grandpa, hope you are at peace with grandma up in heaven.

So very saddened to lose such a great man. Not only my Uncle, but my Godfather. So many fond memories of times spent on Nevers Road, In South Windsor and trips to the beach. Uncle Jerry, you always treated me like I was one of your kids. Rest In Peace, Much Love

To Jerry, Norine, Glenn, Ken and Keith,
I'm heartbroken to hear of Uncle Jerry's passing and am greatly disappointed that I'm unable to attend his service. Please understand it is not in any way due to a lack of love or respect I had for Uncle Jerry. Like all of you, I have many cherished memories of when we were growing up when our families would gather together for cook outs, birthday parties etc, and I recall Uncle Jerry ALWAYS being social and carrying on. Thankfully he never changed... He was the same when we'd come up for prolonged visits in the summer after we moved to VA, and even later as adults when we'd see him for weddings. Although it happened less and less as the years passed, I have fond recollections of the two of us bantering back and forth about the Yankees - Red Sox rivalry, as well as whether or not Virginia is really a "southern state". Even later in life when we spoke only on occasion and his health wasn't stellar, the conversations were still led by him and he still came across as upbeat and happy to talk. It's undeniable that he was a hard working man who chose a profession that required sensitivity and compassion, you all should be proud of the fact that he helped countless families in dire need of someone they could lean on and depend upon. Please stay strong and support one another during this difficult time... My heart and thoughts are with all of you and your families. Rest In Peace Uncle Jerry.. All My Love, Rob

Gerry jr, I’m at a loss for words, your father was a great man, I learned a lot from him when I worked for you guys that I still do to this day. Gerry had a way he walked down the isles on funerals,I tried to duplicate but never could do it the same! Even as demanding as the funeral industry can be at times, he always made the time, to help his children or friends as needed. Gerry was a great man and will truly be missed by everyone. Again my condolences to Gerry jr. and the Baxter family

To Jerry Jr and family.
I had to read the obituary twice. Before I believed your dad had passed. Your dad was a very special guy. I always enjoyed the many conversations I use to have with him.
I haven't seen him in a few years. I always thought about him and your mom when I drove down the Berlin Tpke ( which as you know was often) and saw their home.
I won't be able to attend his services as I am in Florida. I WILL be thinking about him (and your mom) Tuesday when his service are being held.
You and Lorraine are together again.
You will be missed but never forgotten Jerry.

What a loss! He was a tremendous person. He and my dad, Roland, knew each other from the late 1950’s when they were both business men on the South Green. My dad, at 10 Jefferson Street and Gerry, on Main Street. My dad went to Gerry when his parents, brother and sister died. And when my brother died, we went to Gerry. Gerry introduced us to Cedar Hill Cemetery. Gerry joked with my dad that our plot would be close to his. And we went to Gerry when my dad died. I’ll never forget the last time I spoke to Gerry. I called to speak to him about pre-planning my funeral. He wouldn’t hear of it!! Sending our deepest sympathies to the Baxter family. Doris and Rachel Leclerc

Dad,
What more can a son want then to have a father as good as you? Even running a 24/7 demanding business, you were there for us. You attended every school function, coached us in sports, and taught us the difference between right and wrong. I always said if I can be half the father that you were to us, my kids will do fine. Following in your footsteps, I knew would be almost an impossible task. I've always tried, to the best of my ability to emulate you. Loving, caring and helping people at the most difficult time of their lives is not easy. You
did it naturally and effortlessly. Your family, your staff, and everyone who came in contact with you, loved you.

Thank you Dad, Love you always, Jerry Jr.
