Gerald Trottier Obituary

Gerald E. "Jerry" Trottier, 77, of Bristol, husband of Jeannette (Bouchard) Trottier, died Friday, (October 3, 2003) at Haven Health Center, Farmington. Mr. Trottier was born in Bristol on September 30, 1926 and was a son of the late Eddee and Fredeline (Lavigne) Trottier. A lifelong Bristol resident, he worked for the Bristol Housing Authority before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Palos Council #35 and St. Ann Church, where he was a member of the League of Sacred Heart Society. In addition to his wife, Mr. Trottier is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Elaine and Robert Gillette of Bristol, Cheryl and Michael Bellman of West Hartford, and Christine Licki and Gerald Garcia Jr. of Carbondale, IL; two step sons and their spouses, Alvin and Denise Christensen of Hemet, CA, and Donald and Fran Christensen of Simsbury; five step daughters and their spouses, Lila and Rosaire Daigle of Winterville, ME, Audrey and Frank DeSanto of Orlando, FL, Sheila Paradise of Plainville, and Maria and Michael Galbick and Leslie and Gary Lavertu of Bristol; a sister, Sr. Marie Gerard Trottier of North Guilford; 36 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday between 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Church Memorial Fund, 180 Laurel St., Bristol, CT 06010.
