Raymond Trottier Obituary

Raymond R. Trottier, 88, passed away on February 18, 2026. He was born on May 9, 1937, the son of Rodolphe and Rose (Blanchette) Trottier. He was educated in Biddeford schools.

Ray was a member of St. Louis Alumni, the Biddeford Eagles, the Biddeford Saco Country Club, and the Knights of Columbus. He had many passions including woodworking, golfing, motorcycle riding, playing cards and going out to eat with friends. He took great pride in ensuring that his property was always pristine. Ray was also quite the horseshoe player, winning the Fraternal Order of Eagles State Tournament in 1994.

On May 30, 1960, he married Elaine Methot in St. Joseph Church. They have been married for 65 years. Raymond was very proud of his family. His children, grandchildren and great grandchild meant the world to him.

Raymond was a 26-year veteran of the Biddeford fire department. He was a proud owner of his own apartment building which he maintained on his own. He had multiple jobs since the age of 15. He worked in the shoe factories, laying carpet and tile, bartending, bouncing for the clubs, and was deputy sheriff for quite some time. He owned his own oil truck for a short time and was the best bus driver known to man. All the students loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Rose Gagne.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elaine Trottier; his son, Carl Trottier of Cumberland Foreside; his son, Ricky Trottier and his wife, Sandra, of Biddeford; his daughter, Lisa Morrison and her husband, Michael, of Biddeford; grandchildren Renee LeBlond, Chipper Trottier and wife Maggie, Hannah Morrison and Ian Trottier, Great grandchild Alaina LeBlond; his brother, Armand Trottier and his wife, Gloria, of Biddeford; his sister, Lucille Cote and her husband, Robert, of Biddeford; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church, 271 Main Street, Saco, Maine, on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
