Grace and I were " double cousins." That means my father´s sister married my mother´s brother. My father,Victor Jeffries, married Grace Pitt´s brother Floyd´s sister Audrey Jeffries. So two Jeffries married to Pitts.
Thus my cousin Gracie and I had all the same aunts, Grandparents, uncles, and cousins at all our family gatherings.
My family spent many weekends at Gracie´s family´s Black Point cottage. Both sides of our families enjoyed going to aunt Jerrie´s house at Cedar lake in Chester.
Grace Pitt collies was named for my mother, Grace Irene Pitt Jeffries.
Grace and I each had two children, a boy and a girl. We had the same blood type which required a Rhogam injection .We were both artistic and in the same art club. We both researched the family history. So, we had a lot in common, like costumes, including a love for animals. However, I had dogs, cats, and horses, while she had just cats and dogs. She was very close to my mother, her namesake, and I was close to her mother, Audrey. Grace will be missed by all the members of our family.

Karen and Gary,
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. Karen, I know that you took such good care of her. I remember her as a kind lady who put up with a lot of shenanigans from Gary and me....
Thinking of you both.
