Grace Kataja Obituary

Grace Clemens Kataja, 85, formerly of Glastonbury, died (March 3, 2004) in Kearney, NE. She was born January 20, 1919 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of Peter and Angie (Thomas) Clemens. She graduated from high school in Hartford and attended the Morse School of Business. She worked as an executive secretary for the CIGNA insurance group. She was a very active member of St. James' Episcopal Church in Glastonbury. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Thomas Hayes, a son and daughter-in law, Peter and Gayle Kataja; six grandchildren, Cynthia Schultz, Jennifer Connett, Michael Hayes, James Hayes, Allyson Kataja and Kristen Kataja and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at St James' Episcopal Church, 2584 Main Street, Glastonbury. The Reverend Donald L. Hamer will be officiating. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. James' Memorial Fund, St. James' Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 206, Glastonbury, CT 06033.
