I cannot believe what i just read!! We had no idea. We were away at christmas time and had no internet after we got home and no one told us.....no excuses, just letting you know that you are on our minds...and in our hearts! My heart is extremely heavy with grief for you all. Jim when Kenneth and i saw you in Old Saybrook, we had no idea. I wish you had said something. My prayers are with all of you at this time of tragic loss. I was about 10 cars behind the scene on Route 9 for about 3 hours... and began saying prayers for the people involved and their families at the very moment I was stopped. Once I knew my daughters were safe, I began to think how likely it was that it could be someone my daughters know. Indeed, he was a year ahead of my oldest daughter at Valley, and she know who he was, and my younger daughter and her friends had been with him on occasion. My prayers continue for you to find solace and comfort somehow in all of this... certainly all of the posts attest to what a wonderful young man he was. Stay strong....

I only knew Chuck briefly, he joined us on our family vacation to Las Vegas 2 years ago when my son Jared turned 21. I can only imagine the pain and grief your family is going through. No parent should have to bury their son. Our prayers are with your family.
