Gregory Roncari Obituary

On October 29, 2015, the Lord brought Gregory Paul Roncari home. Greg was born on December 14, 1946, the first born of Madeleine (Rabbett) and the late Raymond Roncari. Greg was a talented painter, designer and dreamer who created from the brush of St. Croix a beautiful resort he named after his beloved mother, Villa Madeleine. Greg attended St. Mary School where he was an altar boy for many years, Windsor Locks High School, The Robinson School and University of Hartford. He was employed for many years in the family business, Roncari Industries, moving to the US Virgin Islands where he owned and operated VM. Greg moved to Naples, FL after rebuilding too many times after surviving many hurricanes. There he enjoyed his retirement with his late wife Patricia who predeceased him from a brain tumor in 2006. Greg and Patricia had moved to Plant City to be close to the Moffett center where Patricia received her treatment. Greg was a wonderful big brother who tormented and adored his five sisters. We were his maids. caretakers, sounding boards, loan department officials, and all around "whatever he needed we provided." The memories are too numerous to recount here, but ones we hold in our hearts with fondness, love, and deep sorrow that there will be no more. He leaves behind to grieve his beloved and adored Mother Madeleine, his sisters Dale, Deborah and her husband Paul, Robin, Leslie and her husband Joe, and Alicia; his nephews and niece Terrence Meck, Blaire Milanese, Jonathan and Seth Paulo, Jake Marconi, and Zachary Johnson; and many cousins with whom he shared lots of "fun times!" A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT (Please meet at church). Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in Greg's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, P.O. Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492 or to St. Mary Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT 06096. For directions or to leave on-line condolences please visit, www.windsorlocksfuneralhome.com.

To all of the Roncari family-
Bob and I are heartbroken to learn of Gregory's passing. We have decades worth of stories and jokes and pranks from St. Thomas to St. Croix to the Berkshires of Massachusetts and a few wild evenings in The Big Apple. We know he was devastated with Patricia's passing, we spent many hours with them both and know he's in a better place with her. A prayer is being said for him and for all of you tonight.

To all of the family, Greg was my neighbor in the Bushnell for several years. We had lots of laughs together. Visited him many years ago in St. Croix and he showed us a great time. He was a caring, giving person and he loved a party. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Laddy Davis McElderry
