Its so hard to believe it has bee five years since Guy has been gone. Maybe gone, but never forgotten.
I have paid my respects to Sandy, Mark, Chip and Guy every year when I visit my own guys in Coventry.
Over the years since Newport, Rhode Island we shared many good times and I only have fond memories... and Im so happy for our adventures and time together.

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), we offer our most sincere condolences and sympathy to Helen, Brian (Shelly), and all of Guy's family and friends in this time of sorrow. God bless you with peace, comfort you, and heal your broken hearts. We are especially thankful for Guy's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."

So, heavenly Father add his name to the roll
Of our departed shipmates still on patrol.
Let them know that we who survive
Will always keep their memories alive.

Bless those who serve beneath the deep,
Through lonely hours their vigil keep.
May peace their mission ever be!
Protect each one, we ask of Thee.

Bless those at home who wait and pray
For their return by night and day.

Guy Norris Farnsworth, US Navy, Now on Eternal Patrol.
Fair Winds and Following Seas Shipmate
His record is now posted online in the Eternal Patrol file on the USSVI website.

Brian, I am still in disbelief. Your mom and dad were friends from the commissary days back in Newport. Cars and kids were our connection. LOTS of memories. I will visit your folks when I pay respects to my 'guys' in Coventry. I am sorry for your losses. Alan and David also send their condolences.

I only had the opportunity to meet Guy a few short times but can honestly say that his smile and cheer were unmistakable. What a joy to be around; what a caring individual. Our thoughts are with Helen, Guy's family, and particularly Ally whom I also was fortunate to meet during our encounters with Guy. Guy touched the hearts of many, God Bless.
