Harry RADDING Obituary

RADDING, Harry D. Harry D. Radding, 97 of Manchester, husband of the late Cathryn (Carroll) Radding, died Friday, (January 14, 2011) at Rockville General Hospital. He was born June 19, 1913 in Manchester, son of the late Louis and Vera Radding and spent most of his life in Manchester. Harry was a 1929 graduate of Manchester High School and retired after 50 years as President of W.A. Crosscup, Inc. of Hartford. He is survived by his children: Pamela St. Jean and her husband J. Paul, Janet Maher and her husband Herbert, Philip C. Radding and his wife Karen and Harry's dear friend Roberta McHugo. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Lydia Malafronte, David Whitehead, Jeffery St. Jean, Jason Maher, Charles Maher, Jared Radding and Antaya Radding; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Harry was predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Radding; four brothers: Aaron, William, Benjamin and Jules Radding; four sisters: Ruth Nelson, Sophie Johnson, Hannah (Nancy) Harnish and Esther Malloy, and his niece Virginia Benson. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, (January 22, 2011) at 2 p.m. at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. Manchester. Calling hours will be prior to the service, from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Harry to the ECHN Community Health Care Foundation Inc. 71 Haynes St. Manchester, CT 06040.
