BONELLI, Helen Bredice
Helen Bredice Bonelli, wife of the late Cologero (Charles) Bonelli, passed away on January 28, 2013, in Westerly, RI. Helen was born in Bridgeport on August 22, 1914. Helen and Charles moved to Suffield in 1947, where they raised their three children, Dr. Charles Bonelli, Jr., of Suffield; Lillian Fappiano of Stonington and Angela Greaves Sealander of Stonington. Helen's motto to live by was "you have to move, you can't just sit." Helen enjoyed swimming in Long Island Sound until she was 94. She also continued to take long walks and chastised her 80 year old friends who refused to walk. Helen and Charles favorite vacations were a cross country trip in 1979 and a two week anniversary celebration in Italy. Helen was a devoted mother and found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her children she leaves her daughter-in-law Candace Klaiber Bonelli; and sons-in-law Dr. Eugene Fappiano and Richard Sealander, Jr.; her sister, Gladys Positano of Uncasville; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her brother John Bredice, sister Mollie Coughlin and son-in-law Ronald S. Greaves. Her family would like to thank all of the wonderful employees of Westerly Health Center, Westerly, RI. Helen enjoyed her last four years in an environment surrounded by love and comfort.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. (Rt. 159) Suffield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, 8:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 146 Mountain Rd., Suffield. Burial will follow in Thompsonville Cemetery, Enfield, CT.
