Margaret A. "Peggy" Soderquist

Margaret "Peggy" A. Soderquist, 81, of Suffield, beloved wife of Robert W. Soderquist passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 18, 1944 in Providence, RI daughter of the late Herbert W. Long and Ellen M. (McKenna) Long. Before retiring she worked for UTC as a Flight Service Manager. Peggy is survived by her husband Robert, her son, Joseph P. Hoinoski and his wife, Deirdre; a sister, Susan Moscato and her husband, Michael; four grandchildren, Madison, Quinn, Katie and Sophie Hoinoski. She was predeceased by a son, John E. Hoinoski, Jr.; a grandson, Zachary Hoinoski; a sister, Nina LaRosa; and brother, Frederick W. Long.

Peggy often hosted family holidays and was an incredible cook and baker, who was a well know presence at the Bramble Ridge community events, where her "famous" baked beans, were a fan favorite. Peggy was also know as a highly skilled seamstress, quilter and knitter. She often made her her own dresses, and clothes for the boys when they were young.

While Peggy will be dearly missed, the family is at peace knowing that she is finally home and at peace.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm at followed by funeral services at 5:00 pm at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield.
