Thomas C. Soderquist, age 60, of Soderville/Ham Lake died February 17, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Sunday, July 13th, 2025 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Maxx's Bar and Grill located in Soderville (Ham Lake), MN.
THOMAS CHARLES SODERQUIST was born on March 11, 1964 in Cambridge, MN to Lauren and
Charlotte Soderquist. He passed on February 17, 2025 while at Mercy hospital in Coon Rapids,
MN at the age of 60. Tom's life of quick-wit, humor, impressive work habits which included
strong attention to detail, consistency, and thoroughness, was shortened due to health issues
as he aged.
Growing up in Soderville, he participated in Cub Scouts, SAA baseball and in the church. He
enjoyed snowmobiling, biking to the DQ and going to the grandparents for Swedish pancakes.
Tom graduated "class of '82" from Blaine high school where he played on the baseball team
and played trumpet as a member of the high school jazz and marching bands. After graduating
he enjoyed attending Twins games and going on "sunny" vacations with his close friends.
Over the years Tom worked many different jobs, starting out at Steinke's service station, then
on to Knapp woodworking, where he became a master cabinet maker, maintenance at
Soderquist's Market and most recently as a custodian for the Spring Lake Park school district.
He was continuously learning, obtaining many specialty certifications and licenses. Throughout
Tom's life if he saw something that wasn't quite right or in the need of fixing, he would put his
fine craftmanship skills and knowledge to work and make it right.
Tom is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and a niece. He is survived by 1 sister, 3
brothers, nieces, nephew and many other family and close friends who will miss Tom sharing
many life stories that just might be what the next generation needs to hear.
