Henry Bonola Obituary
Henry S. Bonola 90 of Plainville died on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Bridgewater, MA and lived in New Britain and Plainville for most of his life. Henry proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from the Postal service. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and he enjoyed helping family and friends wherever he could. He survived by his wife of 67 years, Rita (Portante) Bonola and his daughter Marcy Bonola and her husband, Thomas Blejewski as well as his beloved granddaughter, Hallie Blejewski. He is also survived by his sister Onelia Procko and brother, Salvatore Bonola and his wife, Melanie and several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at South Church, 90 Main St. New Britain. Burial with military honors will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Cemetery. Henry was an amazing man and a wonderful next door neighbor to us for over 20 years. He was still climbing ladders and trees until recently, and we will miss seeing his energy and positive attitude. He told me once his secret was to drink a lot of milk. I don't know too many other people who worked so hard for so long. Memory eternal Henry. Peace to your wife, daughter and granddaughter who were the joy of your life.
