Henry Cushing Obituary

CUSHING, Henry F., Sr. Henry F. Cushing, Sr., 90, of High Meadow, Haddam, husband of the late Ida (Clarke) Cushing, died Friday, (July 23, 2004) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was born in Waterbury, the son of the late Thomas and Etta (Teller) Cushing. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a tool maker with Scoville Manufacturing. He is survived by three sons, Henry F. Cushing, Jr., and his wife Ann of Monroe, GA, Robert Cushing and his wife Carol of Haddam, and Alan Cushing and his wife Diana of Deluth, GA; a daughter, Marilyn Scarpa and her husband Eugene of Tabernacle, NJ; ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Maple Ave., Higganum. Internment will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Haddam Fuel Bank, 30 Field Rd., Haddam, CT 06438. The Biega Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
