Dr. Herbert PASTERNAK

PASTERNAK, Dr. Herbert Dr. Herbert Pasternak of Simsbury Road, West Hartford, died Friday (March 26, 2010). Born in Waterbury, he was the son of Ike and Stella (Pollack) Pasternak. He was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Connecticut, Florida, and American Optometric Association. He was also a past Board member of the Emanuel Synagogue, West Hartford, and past President of the Probus Club of West Hartford. He leaves his wife, Silvia (Davidson) Pasternak; his son, Fred Pasternak and his wife, Jane, of West Hartford; and three grandchildren, Mathew Pasternak and his wife, Gennifer, and Hillary and Brett Pasternak. Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 11 a.m., in the Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Waterbury, with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his son, 87 Parsons Dr., West Hartford, through Monday, 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Room Parenting Center at the Mandell JCC, 333 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford 06117.
