I will be forever grateful that I was able to reconnect with my friend Hiram after many years. I will miss his gentle kindness and the sparkle in his eye. Hiram was an inspirational, kind soul who taught me the true value of friendship. Our special "Tea Party" date at the Florence Griswold Museum just before Christmas will remain a cherished memory. Love and healing thoughts to the family and friends of a very special man who will be greatly missed. With love to you Hiram, Sally

To the family of Hiram, I only knew your dad one short month as he came to lunch each day at Savory , for a cup of homemead soup and conversation. Such a wonderful spirit with loving eyes and smile, a brillant man. I shall miss his 1:30 visits. Bless all of you who had the pleasure of knowing him longer.

Hiram, thank you for many years of joy and happiness. I learned so much from you. I'll miss your wonderful laugh, our awesome hours of sailing and your showing me how much love our little Shelties would bring into our lives. I truly hope you find peace and I know you'll enjoy being back with your Dad. With Love and forgiveness, Marti

I had the pleasure of Hiram's company several times at Ashlawn Farm. I found that his friendship, caring, and graciousness did not have to be earned, but were given freely and genuinely. For all his life experiences and for all the wisdom he had gained, he was yet a man who listened more than he spoke. Always with a smile. I feel his passing far more keenly than one usually does after so brief an acquaintance.
