Howard T. Becker Sr.

Howard T. Becker Sr., 75 of Glastonbury, passed away Thursday (July 17, 2003) at Hartford Hospital. He is survived by his only son, Howard T. Becker Jr. and his daughter-in-law Susan of Glastonbury; his devoted love, best friend and constant companion Dr. Roberta Hatch Becker; his sister and two nieces, Marion Webber, Vivian Ritzmann and Marion Flanigan, all of Florida and his little buddy Spencer. He was born in Buffalo, NY, son of the late George and Alma (Egner) Becker and was raised in Buffalo, attending the University of Buffalo. Howard was a veteran of the Korean War, serving as a tank commander in the US Army, and moved to Glastonbury in 1960. He retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company in the 1980's after more than 25 years of service. Howard was an active actor in area theaters for about thirty years and enjoyed classical music, jazz, travel and reading. His family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Health Care in East Hartford, the staff of CICU at Hartford Hospital, and the East Hartford Ambulance and Fire Dept. staff. Funeral services will be private.
