MARINO, Ingerlise Randlov Ingerlise Randlov-Marino of Renee Drive, Colchester, died (December 29, 2006) peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. She was born in Esjberg, Denmark. Her father, Laurice Riis was a prominent businessman who owned his own shoe factory. Her mother, Magda Riis was a homemaker who lovingly took care of her home and ten children. Ingerlise met her first husband, Axel Frederik Randlov after World War II in the Tivoli Gardens. She mistakenly thought he was an injured soldier and feeling pity introduced herself and the rest is history. Axel and Ingerlise Randlov competed together as members of the Danish Olympic Rowing Team. Looking for a better life they decided to immigrate to the USA. Axel went first to set up an apartment and Ingerlise followed three months later on February 24, 1956 with two small children in tow. She was very courageous to leave all of her family behind to come to a new country. She learned the language and became an American Citizen in 1964. Ingerlise became a business woman running a group home for the special needs out of her own home at 119 Broadway, which is now The Sparrow House, which houses a doctors office. Ingerlise did everything from Girl Scout Leader to hosting Bacon Academy cast parties. Ingerlise loved so many things but mostly she loved being an influential part of each of her children and grandchildren's lives. Ingerlise's husband Axel, died in 1982. Ingerlise married Walter Marino in 1992. Walter was a loving companion and confidant. Ingerlise was predeceased by her parents; loving husband Axel; her brothers, Jens, Age, Kai, and Erik Riis. Her sisters, Mai and Sylvie. She leaves behind her loving husband, Walter; her brothers and sisters in Denmark, Paul, Jorge, Grete. Her daughter, Elsa and her husband James Biron of Exeter, NH., Greta and her husband Stuart Echard of Salem, CT and her son, Erik Randlov of Colchester. Her grandchildren include, Kurt Biron, David Carbonneau, Kevin Carbonneau, Alex Carbonneau, Joshua Getty, Kristofer Getty, Victoria Getty, Lauren Randlov, Kristen Randlov, Katelyn Randlov and Jordyn Randlov. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, from 4-7 p.m. at the Belmont Funeral Home, 144 South Main St., Colchester, followed by a 7 p.m. service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
