Irma Cyr, 92, of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Joseph Armand Cyr, entered eternal peace Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Melina Lee. Irma moved to Connecticut in 1947, residing in Hartford for over 60 years. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Hornat and her husband Henry of Wethersfield, her son Roger Cyr and his husband William Gasdaska of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Ogunquit, ME; sisters Georgette Michaud, Theresa Lee, brother Real Lee of New Brunswick, Canada. She was predeceased by sisters Alda Frazier, Jeanne Fournier, Ghislaine Ouellette, Yolande Lee; brothers Guy Lee, Martin Lee, and Rino Lee. The family would also like to share our deep appreciation to the staff and friends at the Holiday Retirement Community and caregivers at Hughes Health and Rehabilitation of West Hartford. The funeral will be Friday, January 13th beginning with visitation at 10:30 am at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, followed by a prayer service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Catholic High School, 29 Wampanoag Dr., West Hartford, CT 06117.
