Isadore Martin Obituary
February 27, 1936- November 14, 2017 Isadore Martin, beloved husband, father, grandfather and a trustee of New Antioch Church departed this life on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Isadore leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Dorothy Roberts Martin and his blended family. In addition, he leaves his sisters Joyce Leftwich and Grace Ellington. Isadore was predeceased by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Isadore leaves his blended family of Isadore Jr. & Rema, Larry & Alexandrine, Robert & Karen, Carolyn Martin-Taylor, and their mother Mary Ann Martin; April Williams, Cornelius (Neil) Roberts, Crystal Lewis, Debbie Roberts, Darrell & Shelia Roberts, Brian Roberts, Christine Collins, 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Isadore was a lifelong machinist at Chandler Evans and Fenn Manufacturing. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, video game enthusiast and storyteller. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. Calling hours: Saturday, November 18, 2017. Wake: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral at 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Services will be held at: The New Antioch Church, 161 Nelson Street, Hartford CT, 06120

I remember once talking with him and a group of his friends were talking about how bad the "man" was in their hometowns, like lower Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi and Isadore mention Cairo, Illinois and I told him he won, the "man" couldn't get no worst than Cairo anywhere.

Mr. Martin was a dedicated member of Antioch. I enjoyed our laughs and the time we spent working together as trustees. My condolences to the family.

Mr. Martin will truly be missed. He was a very kind man who I had the pleasure of working with whenever he was at Rawson School. He really became a good friend to me and my husband. I send my sincere condolences out to his family.

My condolences to the family Of Isador Martin. Dot, so sorry to hear of your loss. He will be truly missed. He was such a fun person to work with on the Trustee Board at New Antioch. He, Trustee Hill and myself had lots of laughs together and that is how I will remember him. So as you grieve, please know that he was very well liked and though he is gone, he will not be forgotten.

We light this candle for Mr. Isadore whom we had the pleasure of knowing and fellowshipping with. We'll miss the laughter and the way he and my mom would argue back and forth with while my dad laughed at the both of them! All with Love! We'll miss you Sir Isadore!

Uncle Issie, I'm so sorry that you'll no longer be here with us in the flesh, I won't be able to see you and talk to you about the "big one" that got away!
