Jacqueline M. Senk

Jacqueline M. Senk, formerly Ginelewicz, 81, of Southington, died on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Fairfield. She was the beloved wife of Stanislaus S. Senk, Jr. for 9 years and to the late Gerald H. Ginelewicz. Jackie was born and raised in New Britain, she was predeceased by her Aunt Anna and Uncle Frank Dragone who raised her and she missed them deeply. As a child, Jackie struggled with severe illness for two years. She was lucky to survive those illnesses and go on to lead a long life. She was a Newington resident for many years, where she and her late husband raised their two sons. Chris and Steven were her pride and joy or joy and pain. She could be seen on Sunday mornings driving Chris and Steven in her station wagon helping them with their huge Sunday papers. Then, they were off to play football somewhere in the state for Pop Warner Football. Chris & Steven were everything to her and likewise she was to them and they are forever grateful that she raised them with nothing but LOVE. "Steven, what God took from your Mom when she was ill for two years as a child, he replaced it with her ability to show you boys and the world nothing but Love and kindness." - Diane Jiantonio (Ginelewicz). Jackie retired from the State of CT in 1997. That's when she started to enjoy her retirement with her late husband Gerald. They moved down to Nokomis, FL for a few years and then returned back to CT when Gerry fell ill and ultimately passed away. Everything changed when she went to her 50th High School reunion in 2012. That's where her and Stan were reacquainted and hit it off just like it was their senior year 1962 at New Britain High. Stan made her laugh once again and they married the following year on July 26, 2013. They honeymooned in Paris and then settled in Maryland for only a short time before relocating to Southington, CT. She wanted to be close to her family and Stan wanted whatever Jackie wanted. Stan treated her like a Queen. Besides her husband she leaves her two sons, Christopher Ginelewicz and his life partner Kristyn Vilcinskas of Wethersfield, and Steven Ginelewicz and his wife Lori of Fairfield, her beloved grandchildren Gigi, Brady, Kyle, Max and Brian. She also leaves Stan's daughter Melissa Killebrew and her husband Matthew and their children Taylor & Liam of TN; and many more extended family members. The family would like to give many thanks to the loving staff of both Elim Park in Cheshire and Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Fairfield for her care over the past few months. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington.
