James Alaimo Obituary
James V. Alaimo, 70, of Tolland, beloved husband of Faith-Mary (Swierzewski) Alaimo, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. He was born August 14, 1945 in Springfield, MA, son of John and Constance (Sullivan) Alaimo. Besides his wife Faith-Mary of 46 years, he is survived by his daughter Emily Hope Cusson and her husband Tyler of Tolland, his sisters Elizabeth Alaimo and Catherine Alaimo, SSJ, as well as his grandchildren Thomas and Evan. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph Alaimo. He enjoyed fishing, was a Vietnam Veteran, and was the founder of Nutmeg Sports, LLC. The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurses of Vernon and the Tolland Fire Department for the wonderful care that was given to Jim. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Jim's life will take place later in the spring. Nutmeg Sports worked on a several pairs of ivory stocks for me. Jim took the trouble to talk with me over the 'phone to ensure that he fully understood my needs. The results were perfect.

Jim was a great guy and we hatched many great products while he was superintendant of the Colt Custom Shop. He was a good friend and his passing brings a great saddness upon us all.

Dear Faith and family, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was always one of my favorite people at Colt. We had some laughs! It was a blessing to maintain his friendship all these years and to have visited the both of you.
