James McGlynn Obituary

James L. McGlynn, 43, of Stoughton, MA, formerly of Enfield, beloved husband of Rebecca Kremenitzer, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born in Manchester, CT, and grew up in Enfield and was a graduate of Enfield High School, Class of 1995. While in high school he was active in many school sports including the golf and tennis teams and the hockey team. James was an avid runner through his adult life, participating in many road races of various distances. James graduated from Bryant College with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. James was employed as a certified public accountant, and served on the Finance Board for the town of Stoughton, MA. In addition to his beloved wife, Rebecca, James is survived by his son, Ethan; his parents, John and Margaret (Donohoe) McGlynn of Enfield; his brothers, John McGlynn and his wife, Denise, of Enfield and their children, Patric and Gavin, Jason McGlynn of Enfield, Christopher McGlynn of New York, and Jeffrey McGlynn and his wife, Barbara, of East Hampton, and their children, Madison and Cash. He is also survived by his in-laws, Janet Kremenitzer and Martin and Myra Kremenitzer and brother-in-law, David Kremenitzer and his wife, Lauren Kellner, and their son, Levi. His family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082. A funeral service honoring James' life will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. In August of 2011, James was the recipient of the gift of life from an anonymous organ donor. We are very sorry to hear about the loss of James. Although we had never met him, our niece Barbara and her husband Jeff McGlynn shared his story with us and spoke very highly of all of his accomplishments. May James rest in peace.
