James Sorvillo Obituary

James Sorvillo, 71 of Southington, CT passed away on June 25th from cancer.

He was born on August 7th, 1951 to Gilda and Joe Sorvillo in Torrington, CT (center of the universe). After graduating from Torrington High School in 1969, he went on to start a successful construction career. In 1992, he started his own business Underground Builders Inc., becoming a prominent contractor through out the State of Connecticut.

He was an extremely hard-working, loyal, and honest family man who was loved and respected professionally and personally by many.

In 2018 he "hung up his hard hat" and pursued pleasures that included; cooking, gardening, golfing, skiing, drumming and enjoying season tickets to Uconn's Mens Basketball. Jim had a wicked sense of humor, adored an eclectic taste in music and loved to travel.

James was predeceased by his parents Joe and Gilda, brother, John. He is survived by his wife Pam, daughters Andrea and Deanna, granddaughter Lila, brother Robbie, sister in laws Marlene and Denise and many nieces,nephews and cousins.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you pay it forward with a kind gesture in Jim's name.
