She was the foundation of my education. Im almost 40 and I still remember climbing the twirly stairs to play dress up or her sand box. She was the true meaning of being a remarkable educator. My brother and I were lucky to have her. She was one of a kind and I am so thankful I was one of her students ❤ Thinking of her today and her family!

Mom-
Wow! I always knew you were an awesome teacher (you reminded me every day!), but I have to say I am very touched by the messages left by your former students. I mean, I don't remember anything from when I was five and you were thirty-three, other than thinking you were the best person on the planet. Anyway, great to see these memories from your other children.
Love always,
Rob

Mrs Hagerty served as a true beacon of light for those of us who walked through those kindergarten doors the very first day of school. She was an extraordinary woman and a spectacular teacher. Her kindness and compassion touched so many lives. We were blessed to have had the honor of knowing her. She will never be forgotten. I know she is soaring among the angels & looking down upon the many lives she touched. I hope she knows how much she was loved and how dearly she will be missed.

I remember Mrs. Hagerty and her classroom quite vividly. She touched SO many lives. A tribute is going around on Facebook, and the memories are rushing back. What a fantastic teacher she was, and how proud her family should be of her work and the lives she affected educationally and personally.

Mrs.Hagerty was my kindergarten teacher at Langford in1980. She was amazing. I remember her making toast when we learned the letter T. She would also say, laughingly, that smoke would come out of her ears if we got too rowdy. She is the reason I studied teaching in college. The tree she gave us at kindergarten graduation still grows in the backyard of our old family home in East Hartford. Rest in peace wonderful lady!

It's difficult to see someone you knew from your childhood pass away. Mrs. Hagerty was my Kindergarten teacher as well as so many others who always had nothing but amazing things to say about her. I now work in a Pre-K class and remember songs we sang with her and will sing them to my students and reminisce. My heart goes out to all her family and close friends. She really touched the lives of so many and gave us all a great start with education. I'm sure Heaven will have a teaching position ready for her since she truly was one of the greats! She will be missed and thought of by many.

Janet was the epitome of the nicest person, friend and teacher one ever wanted to know - I will always remember our years at Langford together and the hours we spent talking about our lives, our children, grandchildren and friends and family. I will miss her forever but I will also remember her forever as she is the friend everyone in the world wants to have. Thinking of the entire family at this time - with love, and prayers for your happy memories to stay with you for all your life.
