Jean Pottinger Obituary
Jean Marie Pottinger, 78, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Steve Isaac and Margaret A. Stewart. She worked for Project Concern and St. Francis Hospital Medical Library. She was a transportation advocate, member of the Hartford Griffin Line Corridor Advisory Committee (1992-1998); Greater Hartford Transit District's Board of Directors (Nov 1996-2001); and the CT Transit Service Design Team (1997-2000). She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Stewart Isaac of East Hartford and Steadman Pottinger of Callahan, FL; her two daughters Sherry Pottinger of Hartford and Sandra Pottinger of Glastonbury; six grandchildren, Xiolmara Villodas and her husband Wesley, Matthew and Tyler Shand, David, Samantha and Gabrielle Pottinger; and two great-grandchildren Janiel and Carmelo Villodas. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 25 at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
