WARD, Jeffrey T.
Jeffrey T. Ward, 35, of Hartford, passed away Sunday (September 16, 2012). He was born in Bradenton, FL on May 30, 1977 to Joseph, Sr. and Annie (Jones) Ward. Known to his friends as "Big Jeff", playing football was his passion, but he loved all sports including baseball, and was an avid NY Giants fan. He worked as a chef and enjoyed cooking, but most of all he was a great father who loved his children and would spend as much time with them as possible. "Big Jeff" had a great sense of humor that drew others to him, he touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. He leaves behind his parents, a daughter, two sons, and a loving fiancée Shavonne Coachman, one brother, one sister, two favorite nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 22 at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 21 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made in Jeffrey's name to the Ward Children Education Fund, C/O Windsor Federal Savings, 250 Broad St. Windsor, CT 06095. I know tht we all hv great memories of Jeff...this great guy tht shined a happy light over us all..the most he ever tlked about was going Home...being with his kids and not being alone...although very sad..there is an unselfish part of me tht is happy tht he Made it HOME! My deepest sympathy to the Ward family, especially to his kids during this time. The last memory I have of Jeff is him mowing my grass for a whole 8 hours (yes 8 whole hours) without even one complaint.
