Dear Family and Friends of Jenn,
I was deeply saddened today when I learned that Jenn passed away on January 25th. I had the distinct pleasure and honor of advising Jenn at Johnson State College for her freshman and sophmore years. Even after she transferred to a faculty advisor, we met regulary to discuss her plans and dreams for the future. She was a stellar member of our TRIO program, and was the kind of student every advisor dreamed of: puntual, prepared and passionate about being a successful student. I loved seeing her develop into a mature, young woman who was ready to tackle the difficult, heart wrenching issues so near to her heart. Even if I saw her across the quad at JSC, her smile could brighten a dreary VT day and my weary soul. May time do its gentle work of healing your deep pain.
Sincerely,
Dian Duranleau, Learning Specialist at JSC

Marlene,
I never met Jennifer, only knew her through your stories. When you and I worked together delivering babies, I marveled at the mother you were. I know how deeply you will feel the loss. I also know how strong you are. My heart aches with you and your family now.
I wish for you some solitary moments of peace and joy from all that Jennifer gave you and the world that she so warmly touched.

My thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to all of Jen's family and friends. Jen completed an internship at AWARE in Hardwick, Vermont while she was at Johnson State College. I was Jen's supervisor and became her mentor and friend. Jen always had a big smile and a kind word for everyone. I am fortunate and thankful to have been part of her short life. I will miss her greatly.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jennifer's passing.
I remember her well during her elementary school years and was always happy to meet up with her and to catch up on her newest ventures. She was a lovely person, and I remember her as being so very kind and thoughtful of others. It is a tragic loss and I send to all of you my deepest sympathy.

Jennifer,

I'd never forget the way you took me into your suite as an RA at Johnson State College. You made me feel so welcome and accepted to there. When I was struggling with homesickness and adjusting to live at college you were there to encourage and support me. I will always remember the late night conversations on campus and how your passions inspired us all. You had the brightest smile and the best hugs and you'd give them out as freely as you loved. You were considered, by me, to have been our "den" mother in our dorm suite because of your motherly advice and warm affection. You loved everyone of your residence and we loved you in return.

You will forever be loved by me where ever you are and nothing can take your place in my heart. I will always have that memory of your smile and shining eyes.

To your family and Paula and her family, I give you my deepest sympathy and want all of you to know that she very much loved and appreciated at Johnson State College and currently we are beginning to do something or give something to the campus in her memory. A person that gave back to so much to her college should be always remembered, and I will make sure that she is. I love you all and share in your grief..... *tears*

Jennifer,

You will always be remembered by those who knew you and loved you! The one memory I have that is fresh in my mind is when you attend Chris and I's wedding. You were so happy and every time I ran into you, you were having a blast! I Thank you for a great memory that I will never let leave my heart :)

To my cousin Jen,

Where do I begin? For my entire life, you practically lived in the next town over. Our two families did so much together, in fact, you could say you were an unofficial sister to my brothers and I.

I'll never forget how excited you and I were when we found out we would be going to high school together in the same class. It turned out to be just as cool as we thought it would be. What a great 4 years that was.

My favorite memory though is you at my wedding in September. It was the last time I saw you. You were so happy and having fun. That memory I will never ever forget and is the one that is helping me through this past few days.

You left us much too soon Jen. May you rest in peace. Someday we can continue where we left off.
